Buttercup von Bunchen is a very friendly 9-10 month-old shepherd mix on the smaller side who absolutely loves the companionship of young children!  Her soft short coat and velvety ears suggest she’s part lab (our best guess), but she will not be much larger than 45-50 lbs. Buttercup’s favorite outing with her foster mom is to the nearby preschool, where she soaks up the attention from the daycare students.  Her sweet personality peaks when she is around little kids, so the rescue is looking for a home with children and even another playful dog or cat(s).  After a fun day of chasing balls and exploring the yard, Buttercup is ready to lie quietly at your side as you enjoy a good movie.  This sweet little girl is also smart – she’s housebroken, sleeps quietly in a crate at night, and quickly learned to use the dog door.  Buttercup also passed her cat test with flying colors, so don’t be deterred if you have a kitty or two! And another playful male dog in the house would be a plus.  Although she walks easily at your side on a leash, she can get excited when she sees people or other dogs because she wants to meet them; she is easily corrected on a leash but could use additional training.  If you think Buttercup sounds like the dream dog, please apply soon…..this adorable pup won’t last long!
